Injection-moulded magnets are typical composite materials that are created by embedding hard ferrite or rare earth magnetic powder in thermoplastic plastics (matrix material PA6, PA12, PPS), produced by injection moulding with modified injection moulding machines. Compared with other process methods of making permanent magnets, injection moulding has unique and irreplaceable advantages. Injection moulding has the characteristics of greater elasticity, high dimensional accuracy, adjustable magnetic properties, good product consistency, large freedom of orientation and high mechanical strength, and can be produced in complex shapes and in combination with insert parts - all in a single process.
